patio lanterns

As you know, I love where we live. Big yard - little house. Because I love gardening - hate cleaning.

Another plus? It's only a few minutes' walk to the water.

So last night, I dragged my butt off the couch and away from the House rerun, and headed down to Wingfest. After all, Kim Mitchell was playing and how often does that happen in one's front yard?

Spike's away, so I was on my own. I know, I could have called any one of you, but frankly I didn't want to commit until that exact moment. Besides, my neighbours were all there, and so was most of my town, so I really wasn't on my own. And Spike and I texted "wish you were here" messages to each other all the way through.

You know what? I had a blast. Fireworks immediately followed the show, and then I headed home to bed, happily humming Patio Lanterns. You can hum it with me if you want - and giggle at all the hair in this 1986 video.

Or take a look at a clip from the actual show I saw.

Not bad for a Friday night.
