Last weekend, Spike and I had almost the whole weekend to ourselves. Delightful.
We headed towards Niagara. At one point, we pulled over and walked a trail for a while.
It's amazing what you can see if you look down while walking.
You'll have to imagine the sharply-sweet smell of these crabapples.
How cool is this abandoned hive?
Shrieky moment. I was wearing flipflops. And one of these, suddenly moving in an s-pattern near your open feet, is a little startling. "A snake! It's a snake! Aaaahhhh!!!! ... Wait I have to take a picture!"
I can't decide what I think about this shot. Is it annoying or interesting that the branches get in the way of seeing the water?
I think it's both, to be honest.
You know you want to see around that bend.
Happy autumn season to you.
